I have been trying for two days to reach a human being at Amazon.com. I want to buy several books. I neither own nor want a Kindle device; I do not want a new app., I am not interested in their selection of new products. I do not want a new password; there should be nothing wrong with the one they approved yesterday, but they don’t want to recognize it now.
I have been their customer for more than eight years, paying by credit card at time of purchase. My laptop is protected by a prominent and reliable security service; But when I try to contact a human tech, the robot gives me a list of books with the word ‘human’ in the title. How does a system like that stay in business? Or am I the only customer who gets this crud?
